With the new TV series debuting, you might want to check out the long-running TV game show 'Family Feud". The new host is comedian Steve Harvey and the show now originates from nearby Universal-Orlando. The move was made to accommodate Harvey who lives in Atlanta, where he hosts nationally synidcated radio show.Shooting for the series started in mid-July and ends Sept. 19th. About 165 espisodes have been taped for the upcoming season
According to an article at orlandosentinel.com, Executive producer Gaby Johnston said she is thrilled with the results. “This is the funniest and most lively ‘Feud’ ever, thanks to Steve Harvey onstage and the fantastic Orlando audiences that pour into the studio for each taping,” she said in an e-mail.
Central Florida could benefit in others ways from the local production. “Family Feud” will carry a plug for Orlando several times a week. Providing $150,000 in all to help the game show relocate were the city of Orlando, the Downtown Community Redevelopment Agency and the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau.
